La rencontre \u00e9tait mod\u00e9r\u00e9e par Vivien Philizot.<\/p>\n<p>En ce mois de novembre, les affiches d&rsquo;Helmo font partie int\u00e9grante du paysage urbain pour nous strasbourgeois, puisque les deux comp\u00e8res con\u00e7oivent depuis dix ans les affiches de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jazzdor.com\/\">Jazzdor<\/a>, un festival de jazz qui se d\u00e9roule cette ann\u00e9e du 8 au 23 novembre.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/71_jazzdor2012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-520\" src=\"http:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/71_jazzdor2012-217x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/71_jazzdor2012-217x300.jpg 217w, https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/71_jazzdor2012.jpg 580w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cUn amour pervers pour les contraintes\u201d\u00a0; cette citation de Fran\u00e7ois Morellet projet\u00e9e sur le mur au d\u00e9but de la conf\u00e9rence nous \u00e9claire rapidement sur la m\u00e9thode de travail d&rsquo;Helmo. Selon eux, le budget restreint, le client, la diffusion ou encore l&rsquo;impression sont autant de contraintes que le graphiste <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ne doit pas <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">subir<\/span>. Il doit plut\u00f4t s&rsquo;en servir.<\/p>\n<p>Bien souvent, les commanditaires dans le milieu culturel ont un budget assez bas. C&rsquo;\u00e9tait le cas du Centre Chor\u00e9graphique National de Rillieux-la-Pape (CCNR) qui a command\u00e9 une identit\u00e9 visuelle \u00e0 Helmo, incluant notamment le logo, le site web, les affiches et le programme. Afin de ne pas faire \u201cexploser\u201d le budget, l&rsquo;ensemble des supports de communication est imprim\u00e9 en offset monochrome \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une vieille machine chez un imprimeur parisien habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler avec le collectif. Cette m\u00e9thode d&rsquo;impression, en plus d&rsquo;\u00eatre plus abordable que l&rsquo;impression en offset \u201cclassique\u201d, conf\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;identit\u00e9 du CCNR une empreinte tr\u00e8s reconnaissable gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une gamme de couleurs Pantone qui se d\u00e9marque des couleurs en quadrichromie beaucoup plus \u00e9teintes et ordinaires.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_cartonbonjour.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-517\" src=\"http:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_cartonbonjour-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_cartonbonjour-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_cartonbonjour-451x300.jpg 451w, https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_cartonbonjour.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_ccnridentite.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-518\" src=\"http:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_ccnridentite-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_ccnridentite-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_ccnridentite-451x300.jpg 451w, https:\/\/comgraph.hear.fr\/surkrut\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/64_ccnridentite.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thomas Couderc et Cl\u00e9ment Vauchez sont captiv\u00e9s par la couleur. La s\u00e9rigraphie est donc leur m\u00e9thode d&rsquo;impression favorite\u00a0; les couleurs y sont \u00e9clatantes, les encres peuvent se superposer, se m\u00e9langer dans le pot ou sur le papier, \u00eatre mates ou brillantes. Les options sont multiples, \u00e0 l&rsquo;inverse de l&rsquo;offset, qu&rsquo;ils n&rsquo;utilisent que plus rarement. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d&rsquo;impression leur permet aussi d&rsquo;imprimer de tr\u00e8s grands formats et d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimenter en faisant varier l&rsquo;association des couches d&rsquo;encre.<\/p>\n<p>Avec Sonorama, Helmo fait une fois de plus l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience de la couleur. Sonorama est un festival bisontin qui amenait le spectateur \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir une ville sonore et vivante au travers de spectacles de rue, de performances ou de concerts diss\u00e9min\u00e9s dans Besan\u00e7on. Le duo de graphistes a cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour l&rsquo;occasion une typographie dont les modules color\u00e9s se superposent et se rencontrent. Ayant pris connaissance \u00e0 l&rsquo;avance des dates auxquelles les affiches seraient install\u00e9es dans la ville, Thomas et Cl\u00e9ment on d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de concevoir des visuels qui fonctionnent sur la dur\u00e9e\u00a0: chaque semaine, une nouvelle couche s\u00e9rigraphi\u00e9e s&rsquo;ajoutait \u00e0 la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Plus l&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nement approche, plus les motifs, consid\u00e9r\u00e9s par le collectif comme une sorte de \u201cbruit visuel\u201d, se multiplient et obstruent la lecture des informations. Le duo aime en effet compter sur le hasard. Il appr\u00e9cie les rencontres improbables et les \u00e9v\u00e9nements graphiques, comme dans cette s\u00e9rie de papiers peints r\u00e9alis\u00e9e pour le WallpaperLab, un concours organis\u00e9 par les professionnels du papier peint regroup\u00e9s au sein de l&rsquo;association A3P et le Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs de Paris. Ici, le motif n&rsquo;en est plus un, au sens strict du terme. Tandis que nous sommes habitu\u00e9s \u00e0 la r\u00e9p\u00e9tition dans le papier peint traditionnel, Helmo brise la routine et nous propose ces murs inattendus.
